Pretenders is the debut studio album by British-American band The Pretenders, released on 7 January 1980 under Real Records in the UK, and Sire Records in the United States. A combination of rock, punk and pop music, this album made the band. Heavy limiting supposedly applied after engineer Steve Hoffman's digital.

The four-song set features all unreleased tracks, including previously unrecorded lyrics from Johnny Cash (“If You Love Me”) and Bob Dylan (“Down in the Bottom” featuring Rebecca and Megan Lovell). Purse also features co-writes with Paul McCartney (“The Lovers That Never Were”) and Burt Bacharach (“Everyone’s Playing House”).

Once again co-produced by Sebastian Krys, it makes for the perfect companion to 2018’s, featuring the same eclectic spirit and top-drawer songcraft.The tracks were initially released on a 12″ vinyl EP for Record Store Day last month, but are now available from all digital services.
